SugarSugar X Jovian

A one of a kind collaboration between Malaysia’s top designer, Jovian Mandagie, and Brunei’s premier children’s label, SugarSugar, has arrived. In 2015, SugarSugar released the first ever modest tutu outfit for little girls with an overwhelming response. Label owner, Jacqueline Cheong created the design and the term Tutukurung™ after noticing a gap in the industry. SugarSugar is now synonymous with bespoke-like dresses that excite little girls and their mothers alike. SugarSugar x Jovian, is the product of two passionate designers. They have created a ready-to-wear line that has been inspired by timeless fairytale princesses that most children can relate to. Being perfectionists, the collection is also comfortable, versatile, and wearable; with intricate details and beadwork to make every girl feel like a princess. This stunning and inaugural collection of the collaboration will be available across all J Stores, ready to be picked up for all the little fashionistas.

“Every little girl loves playing dress up! The Tutukurung and now this collaboration was created because I wanted to give little girls a chance to play dress-up every day. I wanted to create outfits that are beautiful and also instill excitement in every girl who sees them. This collaboration with Jovian Mandagie is truly an honour and recognition to the work that I have put in. Jovian and myself have poured over each design in the collection to ensure that the vision of instilling excitement in little girls is met. I am so excited, that through this collaboration, I will be able to reach a much wider audience; I will be able to reach out to more little fashionistas, and hopefully make the world a little bit more colourful!”  – Jacqueline Cheong
